Going to a friends for dinner
I set myself a goal today to get out of the house and go on a walk. I in fact contacted a uni friend and arranged to go round for tea in the end. I was nervous all afternoon about it and just couldn’t concentrate on anything. I started having indigestion due to the stress of it half an hour before leaving so delayed leaving until it had gone off. I then gathered my things together and started the hour walk to her accommodation. At the beginning I just wanted to turn back and go home, it was rush hour and I felt watched. However, once climbing a long hill I felt much more relaxed as the nervous energy was turned into a positive energy.
Once at her accommodation I lay on her bed for a while, I was slightly nervous but nothing that was going to trigger an attack. I found that the bright light was very glary for a while and it took some time to adjust. I stayed for about 3 hours and only experienced some minor anxiety episodes, I think I found it more of a relief to get outside after being stuck in my bedroom for so long.
